I am often in this area and can see the tree line from my kitchen. I am not opposed to building on this site but am opposed to the density that is proposed as well as the removal of the trees. I also realize that people want to get the most money from their property but this has to be married with how our city functions and looks while we protect the environment.
This planned development is much too dense! I am a neighbor and am familiar with this site, since I have lived nearby for 18 years. The site is suitable for about 25 houses, not the planned 52. The quality of life for the residents of the planned development would be low with 52 houses. Such a development is inconsistent with what we expect from the city of Ann Arbor and with the delightful surrounding neighborhood of that site. Please vote against the proposed plan and support a more reasonable plan.
I oppose the approval of this PUD site plan for 2857 Packard Rd as this over-development will destroy century trees,
create too many units with too many people and cars, adding to the increasing congestion on Packard Rd
in SE Ann Arbor. Thank you,
