These minutes are incomplete, and inaccurate. I attended the meeting, I know of what I speak. There were 2 speakers at public comment time, this only talks about one, me, and my concerns were NOT addressed. The other speaker seconded my remarks, and went on to mention the difficulties he had encountered trying to actually locate a meeting to attend, the improper public notice, and the general atmosphere of secrecy surrounding the AAPAC's actions.
The prior annual retreat was cancelled without proper notice, and the rescheduling was done in violation of OMA guidelines. Public matters CANNOT continue to be discussed in violation of OMA. The Public Art Commission is an easy target for this, but I know many boards and commissions operate in the same way, especially those populated by largely political appointees - DDA sub-committees, etc. To accept these minutes as written would be to accept incomplete and factually incorrect minutes.
