DC-4 25-0482 Resolution to Order Election and to Determine Ballot Question for Charter Amendment to Repeal Section 1.4 of the City Charter (7 Votes Required)
The plan for the new downtown library is so exciting, and it will be fantastic to finally put the library lot parcel to good use. I'm looking forward to repealing the charter language that has contributing to keeping this perfectly located parcel as a surface parking lot for far too long.
The library has proved themselves expert at maintaining and programming its branches, and is clearly the best organization to bring us the "civic center commons" that most voters imagined when this section was originally added.
This resolution is long overdue, and I heartly support it.
