I urge the sitting council to reconsider contributing to the ($8million)cost of widening EMCD bridge per the University's request. The "collaborative" effort does not recognize, or share the concern for needs to non-motorized improvements reflected through numerous plans and current city policy towards transportation infrastructure development. The bridge widening as proposed contributes ZERO towards the safety of pedestrians and cyclists traveling to work at the hospital, classes on campus, or along the B2B. Dot allow for increased capacity of the bridge without increased equity among its users!
