CA-24 21-2136 Resolution to Approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor Police Professional Assistants effective January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2024
This opposition is based on process, not necessarily content. It should be normal procedure that matters pertaining to policing be presented to ICPOC, so that they can provide official feedback, make comment informed by public input, and offer any substantial recommendations. It is my opinion that this should be the case for *all* matters of policing for which Council is asked vote, but it is especially important for contractual matters.
It is my understanding, based on the attached documents, that this was not the process that was followed. For that reason, I would like to voice opposition to this item at this point
