I’m sure that Eppie and I had differing political views, but I respected her a lot. If I could live to 95 and have that much energy, drive, vigor and passion in local issues… it would be quite remarkable and lucky. I honestly thought she was 20 years younger! I hope that Eppie can be acknowledged in some significant way. Whether that is some sort of place that is named after her, or some sort of award (Eppie Potts citizen award), or something… I hope it can be done. I didn’t know Eppie personally that well and so I don’t know what to suggest, but I hope her family/friends would have a good idea of something that would be meaningful and appropriate. I am sad that she is gone, and she was one of the ‘3-minute-folks’ that I admired a lot. I know she did a lot more than just those 3-minute talks, but that is the portion that I know her from. It’s nice to see some acknowledgement of her here, but I hope something else could be done in the future as well.
